few用作代詞時,意思是“很少,幾個”,作主語時謂語動詞須用複數形式。

no fewer than, not fewer than

這兩個詞的意思表示的主觀意願不同:no fewer than表示“幾乎一樣多”; not fewer than則表示“最少一樣多或更多”。試比較:
There were no fewer than 1000 people at the meeting. 到會人數竟達一千人之多。
There were not fewer than 1000 people at the meeting. 到會人數至少也有一千人。
