fever的基本意思是“发烧”“热度”,是不可数名词,没有复数形式,但常可加不定冠词。
fever的另一个意思是“一时的狂热”,是不可数名词,多与介词of连用。

have fever, have a fever

表示一般“发烧”,用have fever和have a fever都可以,但在加上表示种类、程度的定语时,通常要加不定冠词a; 而在其前有表示病名的形容词时,通常不加a。试比较:
She died of a high fever.
她死于高热。
She died of hemorrhagic fever.
她死于出血热。

fever, heat

这两个词的共同意思是“热”“热度”。其区别在于:
1.heat指自然现象的温度或热气; 而fever则指因病而体温升高的热,即病热。
